Looking for a festival in May 2024? There is no other listing as complete and current as this list, just updated! festivals are held through the Britain,and much of the world. All the festivals we can find are listed on this page! If you love , look for a festival near you below! And I'm looking for more festivals! Please write me, if you know of any to add! I update the dates as soon as the festivals publish their information, but you can always click on the links (usually the name of the festival) to see the current information on the festival's own website.

Apple Day

‘Apple Day’, which actually falls on a Friday in late October was started in 1990 by Common Ground. Apple Day aims to raise “awareness not only of the importance of orchards to our landscape and culture, but also in the provenance and traceability of food”.

Be sure to click on the links (the blue, underlined name of the each festival) to confirm this year's dates on the website for each festival. If they don't have a website, call the phone number provided, but ALWAYS CONFIRM THIS YEAR'S DATES AND TIMES BY EITHER VIEWING THEIR WEBSITE OR CALLING.

Burwash Manor Farm is a working organic farm - a 400 acre, mixed arable and livestock farm - and we also have an HLS scheme in place, which means that DEFRA thinks we are farming using the best methods of conservation possible. We have signposted walks around the farm, which anyone can turn up and do at anytime; we also organise educational visits. During the year we host regular events that are aimed at teaching everyone about the traditional ways of the countryside, such as Open Farm Sunday and Apple Day.

  • Potton Apple Day - usually held on the last Sunday in September from 12 pm to 4 pm
    St Mary's Church field , Potton, UK. Phone: 01767 260086. Email: pottoncouncil@btconnect.com. Potton's annual Apple Day celebrations include apple pressing and cider drinking. Bring your apples for ID and to exchange for juice. Cakes, music, crafts. Come along to St Mary’s Church field and hall from 12pm to 4pm to enjoy the fun. There are lots of apple-orientated activities, music, food and drink. Check out the Potton Apple Day facebook page for details closer to the time.

    Much Marcle, Herefordshire, England The Big Apple harvest festival takes place at 9 orchards around Much Marcie in early October. This includes Gregg's Pit Cider Apple Orchard. There is a free tractor and trailer shuttle service

There are more than 50 varieties of apple to be found in Wightwick’s orchards, with many dating back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. discover our heritage apple varieties, buy some apples, try some samples and learn how we grow twelve different apple varieties on one tree! Most of the apple varieties in our historic orchards were popular in the late 18th and early 19th-centuries and would have been used by the Mander’s cook to create seasonal favourites. There are not only eating apples, you can find cooking and cider apples too. Our garden team will be on hand to help you choose some varieties of apples to buy and take home.
    Families can have a go at the traditional game of apple bobbing or try your luck on our ever-popular human Fruit Machine. No booking required, normal admission costs apply, small charge for some activities - please note this event is cash only.

  • Blackmoor Estate Apple Tasting Day - In 2023, it is held on Sunday 8th October 10.00am-4.30pm
    Blackmoor Estate Ltd, Blackmoor, Liss, Hampshire GU33 6BS. Phone: (0)1420 476003. Blackmoor Estate’s famous Apple Tasting Day has been running for over 50 years and returns on Sunday 8th October 2023. This hugely popular free local event is in aid of local charities and is a rare opportunity for fruit enthusiasts to taste a wide variety of the old an new apple and pear varieties grown at Blackmoor,  from traditional favourites like Cox’s Orange Pippin and Norfolk Royal Russet to exciting new varieties like Opal and Rubens. Apple experts will be on hand to identify mystery apples, fruit trees and plants will be available from our nursery, and as usual there will be a range of other attractions including: rural craft fair and demonstrations; community fete; local produce stalls; horse and cart rides; cakes and teas; climbing wall; Morris dancing; and cider of course! Free Entry.  Location: Blackmoor, GU33 6BY – follow signsFruit trees and plants will be on sale, alongside local produce stalls, tea, cake and plenty of cider. Experts will be on hand to offer advice and identify mystery apples, and morris dancing and rural craft stalls create the feel of a classic country fete.
  • Cotehele's Apple Festival -  Saturday and Sunday toward early Septembe
    Cotehele, near St Dominick PL12 6TA Saltash, UK. Phone: 1579 351346. Email: cotehele@nationaltrust.org.uk. Help look after Cotehele's rare and special orchards by picking a bag of apples to take home with you. Bags are available from reception for a suggested donation of £2.50 and larger sacks will also be available. On Saturday and Sunday toward early September, join our gardeners for a guided tour of the Mother Orchard. Tours start at 12noon and 2pm. Cotehele is a mediaeval house with Tudor additions, situated in the parish of Calstock in the east of Cornwall, England.

  • Brogdale Heritage Orchard Days - usually the 2nd weekend in October
    Brogdale Farm, Brogdale Road, Faversham, Kent ME13 8XZ. On Heritage Orchard Days you can pick your own (every ticket includes a 2kg bag), try traditional juice pressing and sample local ciders, or join a tour of the National Collection. Keep the foodie theme going with a stay at Reads Rooms in nearby Faversham, a restaurant with rooms in an elegant Georgian manor house that’s home to some of Kent’s best cooking.

  • Killerton Harvest Time - early October
    Killerton, Broadclyst EX5 3LE Exeter, UK. Visitors can stroll through the gardens and orchards outside the 17th-century house. The house is maintained as it was in the 1920s and 30s. There are more than 100 varieties of apple and the estate’s own apple cider in the shop and café. Every year they hold a 2 day festival around the apple harvest.  The activities for children include story time around a camp fire to to pressing apple juice. There are usually Morris dancers and craft stalls.
  • Rosemoor Apple Weekend - early October
    RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, Devon EX38 8PH. Phone: 01805 624067. Garden Centre: 01805 626824. Email: rosemooradmin@rhs.org.uk. For over 30 years Rosemoor’s Apple Festival is held in early October. The RHS-owned garden will hold apple tastings, apple talks, demonstrations and guided walks.

  • Day’s Cottage Apple Day -
    Day’s Cottage is an award-winning apple juice, cider and perry producer, situated on a family farm. It’s dedicated to making pure juices from unsprayed orchards and rare varieties. Its Apple Day (17 October – please see footnote) is envisaged as a smaller event this year but includes apple displays, live music and homemade cakes to accompany the juices. Finish the day with a stay at the charming Court House Manor, a beautiful 17th-century house in pretty Painswick village.

  • Newt Apple Day Weekend -
    The weekend shall be a two-day celebration of all things apple; from juice pressing to apple games, displays, recipes, cyder tastings and tractor tours through the orchards.

    Apple Day. An annual celebration of all things apple and cyder;
  •  65 acres of legacy orchards, including 70 varieties of apple, the Newt – a working estate with a luxurious hotel in an elegant Georgian farmhouse – celebrates its harvest with an activity-packed Apple Day Weekend (23-24 October). Tractor tours, talks, apple-themed games and menus are all on offer, with live music and DJs to get the party going – and the chance for visitors to bring their own apples to be pressed. Alongside the juices, there will be the chance to try the Newt’s new Ice Cyder, made from dessert apples that have been pressed, frozen and slowly thawed to create a rich, concentrated flavour. Apple Day is free for members of the Newt.
    Membership is £48 per year and gives unlimited access to the gardens, woodland and deer park, free entry for children and an annual programme of workshops and events;

    Newby Hall near Ripon is a gorgeous Georgian home set in 25 acres of award-winning gardens, dating back to the 20s dating back to the early 1920s. There are apple trees in the Orchard Garden, along with quince and crab apples (‘Red Sentinel’),

  • Llanerchaeron Apple Week - Apple Week is held early to mid-October
    A Georgian villa in Llanerchaeron surrounded by walled garden, heirloom espaliered apple trees. There are trails and self-led activities for children, including the chance to create apple bird feeders, along with displays of the different varieties of apples grown in the orchards. There are also bags of fruit to buy and take home.
